'birdsong' is a sound piece made in collaboration with Craig Tattersall using unprocessed field recordings arranged with segments from the recordings which were processed in a variety of ways such as audio to visual conversations and then changed back to audio files, sections of birdsong became piano and synth texture and tones, and organ work generated from a visual score using a migration route between Bristol and Manchester.

You can listen to it here.

This piece along with a postcard was our contribution to World Book Night (WBN) 2024 – 'In Praise of Birds', an open call to artists, writers, readers and makers around the world to respond, in the form of a postcard, to text or a book about birds, resulting in an exhibition and mail art swap.

If you wish, pay what you can, proceeds will be donated to the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).

Special thanks to:

Sarah Bodman & Linda Parr for organising another fantastic WBN.

We also have a very limited number of postcards available, proceeds are donations for the RSPB.
